Choose this deep gray-based brown when the target hair-and-scalp relationship calls for a brown character. It gives you a defined starting colour for SMP and a useful brown reference beside BPB01 when your appointments include different dark hair colours. Select the final depth through your established colour preparation and dot technique.
Ink Black / BPB01 — a deeper black reference with a brown base
Choose Ink Black when the target design needs a clearly black colour. Its brown base adds warmth to that black character. Keep it as the black reference beside Ink Brown, and let the intended hair colour and scalp contrast determine which role you use or combine in a custom palette.
