How to Read a Biomaser PMU Pigment Shade Code

A shade code identifies the bottle you want to return to. Keep the full code with the standard shade name, and choose its colour role before ordering.

Read the full shade code together with the standard name: BPE07 is Black Coffee, BPL02 is Candy Pink and BPB01 is Ink Black in the current Biomaser Blend range. Keep both fields in your colour notes and order list. The name explains the colour you are choosing; the complete code helps you return to that exact catalogue entry.

Start with the colour role your design needs, then use the code to identify the bottle. That order is especially useful when a familiar-looking dark bottle or a translated colour name could lead you to a different selection.

Three codes, three deliberate colour roles

BPE07 — Black Coffee

Colour: a deep, cool coffee brown. Starting choice: darker brown definition when a cool coffee direction belongs in the design. Selection: Black Coffee / BPE07, one 12 ml bottle. Keep the word Coffee with the code: this is the brown colour role, distinct from Ink Black.

BPL02 — Candy Pink

Colour: a clearly expressed candy pink. Starting choice: a fresh pink lip brief or a pink-led colour transition. Selection: Candy Pink / BPL02, one 12 ml bottle. Use the standard name when sharing a colour plan, even if the surrounding notes are in another language.

BPB01 — Ink Black

Colour: a deep black with high opacity. Starting choice: a defined black eyeliner accent; the product also has stated SMP applications. Selection: Ink Black / BPB01, one 12 ml bottle. Choose it for the black role rather than treating every dark shade as equivalent.

Example order identity. A code is useful when the range, name and volume stay attached to it.

Keep every letter and digit

Copy BPL02 as BPL02, including the zero. A note such as “pink 2” loses the range context and the prefix. Likewise, “black” can leave a coffee brown and a black accent indistinguishable in a hurried reorder. A useful line reads Biomaser Blend — Candy Pink — BPL02 — 12 ml.

These codes organise this catalogue; they are not a universal naming system for every pigment brand. Treat the complete prefix and number as one identity. When comparing another range, use that range’s own name and product details rather than assuming the same number describes the same shade.

Choose the application from the actual shade

The code gives you a reliable way to retrieve a product. Its colour description and stated applications tell you where it belongs in your working palette. Some shades have more than one stated application, so a code prefix or collection heading alone should not restrict the selection.

For example, BPE07 is our deeper cool-brown option for brow definition and brown detailing, while BPB01 gives a deliberate black direction for eyeliner and SMP. Choose the intended colour first. If the wider palette is still the question, the brow, lip and eyeliner pigment guide explains how to select the colour roles across those services.

The bottle artwork shown below carries the name Obsidian Velvet. The current ATTO listing identifies this selection as Black Coffee / BPE07. Keep that current name and full code in the order note; the artwork name helps you recognise the pictured bottle.

Turn the selection into a repeatable order

Before adding the bottle, read the title, selected shade and volume together. A single bottle and a set containing that shade are different purchases. The three examples here are individual 12 ml bottles; use the current product page to see the selected price and availability.

Biomaser Blend pigments comply with EU REACH regulations and meet ATTO’s highest professional quality standard. That professional foundation supports the range; the exact shade earns its place through the colour role it adds. For this shortlist, choose BPE07 for deep coffee brown, BPL02 for a clear pink contribution or BPB01 for defined black.

Save the confirmed code and name beside your colour plan. When replenishing, reopen that exact product and match the same identity. If you want a different colour direction, record it as a new selection so your stock note remains useful.

Questions about shade identity

Does Black Coffee mean the same shade as Ink Black?

No. BPE07 is a deep coffee brown; BPB01 is the black-accent option. Use the full code and standard name to distinguish them.

Can I translate the colour name in my notes?

Yes. Retain the standard product name and full code alongside the translation so the order is easy to match.

Does the shade code identify the bottle size too?

Keep volume as a separate field. The current examples are 12 ml individual bottles; read the selected product and pack when ordering.
