Whether a black line lands in one pass depends on the machine, the cartridges and your technique. ATTO's product records supply some of those fields; the rest is not in the record. Cartridges: choose by configuration and Style
ATTO's tattoo cartridge needles are grouped by structure and separated by their complete Style value.
- RL (Round Liner) — needles gathered tightly into a bundle with a concentrated point.
- RS (Round Shader) — needles arranged around the circumference at a wider spacing.
- RM (Round Magnum) and M1 (Magnum) — arcs or flat rows.
On a cartridge that publishes the millimetre value on its product page, the gauge is readable directly — a 1R single-needle cartridge states 0401RL as 1R-0.18mm and 1001RL as 1R-0.30mm. That millimetre value belongs to that one product and cannot be carried to another. For any other gauge, ask ATTO for the gauge table for that model.
Machine: read what that machine states
ATTO's approach is that some machines and kits write the stroke into the product name or attributes — 4.0MM stroke and 3.5MM stroke on several machine kits, 3.0mm Stroke on a PMU pen — and some models are positioned around an adjustable stroke. For the rest, ask ATTO for the specification sheet for that model.
Take the Atto Origin Pro Wireless Tattoo Pen. Its record states that it is a Wireless Pen Machine, with colours Origin Black, Origin Gray and Origin Green and styles 1 WIRELESS BATTERY and 2 WIRELESS BATTERY.
